FAQS

Answers landlords ask us most

1

Is my rent and deposit money protected?

Yes. All tenant deposits are registered with the Deposit Protection Service (DPS), a government approved scheme, within 30 days of receipt. Rent is collected into a dedicated client account, kept separate from PPM's own business funds, and paid out to you promptly each month, so your money is never mixed in with ours.

2

What happens if I want to leave PPM?

You can end your management agreement in line with the notice period set out in your Landlord Agreement. There are no exit fees for ending a rent collection or full management service at the end of your notice period.

3

Do tenants pay any fees?

No upfront fees beyond what is legally permitted under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, namely rent, a capped deposit, and a capped holding deposit. We do not charge tenants admin or referencing fees.

4

How do I get paid each month?

Rent is collected from your tenant, our fee is deducted automatically, and the balance is paid into your nominated bank account, with a statement sent to you each month.

5

What if something breaks at the property?

Tenants report maintenance issues directly to our team by phone or email. For full management clients, we coordinate a trusted contractor directly; for other plans, you're notified so you can arrange it.

6

Can I switch service levels later?

Yes, you can move between Let Only, Rent Collection, and Full Management as your needs change, without starting a new agreement from scratch.
